With the support and witness of the People's Government of Guanhaiwei Town, Cixi City, Veolia China, Shanying International Group and Ningbo Shenlan signed, on March 17, 2023, a formal cooperation agreement to establish a new Joint Venture Company - SHINEWAY Resources.
The JV will be located in Cixi, Ningbo, and plans to build and operate a number of renewable resource sorting centers combining "Carbon neutral concept + Recyclables classification + Full-category recycling" in many domestic cities, in response to the national "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality" strategy, and to realize our mission Resourcing the World.
Shanying International is an international enterprise integrating comprehensive utilization of green resources and customization of
packaging products, focusing on the development and development of renewable resources. The strong alliance between Veolia and Shanying will make full use of the resource advantages and professional technologies of both parties to jointly promote the development of renewable resources in China.
As it was mentioned in a Veolia press conference earlier that the Group would focus on decarbonization, depollution and circular economy and enable ecological transformation worldwide,
The collaboration is perfectly in line with Veolia’s global strategies for the future. And it's planned that SHINEWAY Resources would complete building 100 green sorting centers by 2027, so as to recycle 200,000 tons of waste plastic and 100,000 tons of recycled resources of other kinds.
On the same day, Veolia and Shanying signed a carbon neutrality cooperation framework agreement to formulate a carbon reduction
system plan, tailored to the paper industry.
The two companies will build a number of high-standard ecological projects to lead the new direction of carbon reduction in the paper industry. Mark Venhoek, CEO of Veolia Mainland China and Macau, Francois Jenny, SVP of Solid Waste Business Line, and Daniel QIN, VP of Growth together with the project team, were invited to visit the Shanghai headquarters of Shanying International, and met with Zhang Yizhou, member of the Standing Committee of the Cixi Municipal Committee and Secretary of Guanhaiwei town.
